Humans smile but the smile is thin,

A mask they were to hide within,

They whisper “I am fine” through their eyes betray

A thousand storms they lock away.

They help with hands that always shake

They love through hearts that tends to break

They wait for arms that never arrive

They keep on hoping just to survive.

Humans are stories of sorrow world

Dreams left shattered, hearts left cold

And still they rise, through broken, through scarred

Fragile, Forgotten … yet fighting so hard.

They love like magic, pure and divine,

But betray like shadows that refuse to shine,

What are we if not fragile stars?

Burning in the shadows yet dreaming of mars.
