Opa taught me to play chess when I was about 5 or 6 years old.  I used to watch the guys play while they were waiting to get their hair cut.  When they saw my interest they would tell me some things about the game, but Opa was the one who actually sat down with me afterwards and would play.  I've played in a few clubs, but now it is again as it began, a way to play and have fun.  Hope the joy of chess continues to be what brings you to the game.
