Hi, I'm Nick. I'm from Upstate New York, and I've played chess for years, including tournaments in the U.S., and in France. I led a chess club at Colgate University where I presented fellow students with tactical problems and tried to help them improve their game through better opening preparation and more solid play.
Especially those players in the 1100-1800 range, I would love to help you identify and improve the weak points in your game, as well as develop your own playing style. I am most of all a tactical and attacking player, so if you'd like to learn how to play better attacking chess, I know I can help.
I have an expert rating of 2003 with the USCF and a FIDE rating of 2104.
Recent results of mine include:
-2016 Hyères Open, Hyères, France; Placed 3rd
-2016 14th Nancy Chess Festival, Nancy, France; 3rd in section
Feel free to contact me if you'd like to know more, or if you'd like to play a game or two. I speak English and my French isn't terrible. I also like to play the didgeridoo and throat-sing.
