I have played saxophone since fourth grade (ten years now) and loved it most of the time. My main horn is alto, but I play the other three as well. I have also started learning flute and clarinet. They're inferior instruments to the saxophone, but I have to know them. I stick to playing jazz most of the time. Some of my influences include Cannonball Adderley, Phil Woods, Charlie Parker, John Coltrane, Phil Woods, Jackie McClean, and Dexter Gordon, but the list goes on and on. I play in the Manhattan Beach Jazz Quartet.
I've recently taken up a strong interest in chess. If you play and I know you, I'm definitely up for a game.
I am currently an Ethnomusicology major with a focus in jazz studies at the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music.
