Ganine

I'm 81 and retired. I taught myself to play chess from a manual in 1948. I enjoy chess as an intellectual exercise. I played seriously during the Fischer era, admiring his chess skill, but lost interest when he turned out to be a psychopath. Now I'm only interested in chess as a social game and a puzzle to be solved. I currently coordinate a local chess club that meets every Saturday afternoon at the North Durham Library (NC). We're always looking for new members.
