If your really inclined to know about me, I'm sure my life story is spread out across the net, much like I'm sure most of yours is too (be afraid, be very afraid). I guess I'll just share what my chess interests are instead. I am married and have 2 kids, my oldest son happens to share a passion for the game of chess, much like I did when I was young. I would say the greatest advantage that he has, that I did not, is parents that want to help him grow his passion and skill in the game. Over the past year, I've devoted some time, every day, to study chess in hopes to improve my chess game. I would LOVE to reach a rating of 2000 in my life time, but more important to me than that goal is to give my son every tool possible to help him reach his chess goals. I feel by improving my game, I will be able to teach my son better. The tragic story, however, is that my son is quickly creeping up on me and I feel will be better then I am by the end of 2011. We are about to become the newest members of the "Denver Chess Club" where hopefully my son will be able to learn even more. Right now, chess.com is my best resource to learn and grow but I'm constantly looking for more ways to provide for my son's chess education. The reason I am so passionate about this for him is that my son has autism and so he doesn't seem to have many interests that I can relate to. This is our strongest link to interacting with each other, with out driving each other crazy that is. I feel that should sum up my chess interests for the most part. If you took the time to read it, I hope you enjoyed it. If you have any ideas on how I can help educate my son better, please let me know.
