As for Chess, one of the greatest Chess players once said: [...] "Chess is a form of intellectual productiveness; therein lies its peculiar charm. Intellectual productiveness is one of the greatest joys--if not the greatest one--of human existence. It is not everyone who can write a play, or build a bridge, or even make a good joke. But in chess everyone can, everyone must, be intellectually productive, and so can share in this select delight. I have always a slight feeling of pity for the man who has no knowledge of chess, just as I would pity the man who has remained ignorant of love. Chess, like love, like music, has the power to make men happy." [...] Siegbert Tarrasch. ............................................................................................................................................. Only in Math you have to figure out the ratio of red candy to blue candy and then calculate the percentage when all you really want to do is eat them, seriously? Ok here is for the wisdom part ; fart when someone hugs you, it makes them feel strong! When I’m not trying to pick up an ice cube from the kitchen floor or eating pizza at my my best friend's place, I am also looking for the Philosopher's stone, the only reason for this, is to gladly give it to Paulo Coelho so he can further promote demagogy. ............................................................................................................................................. Although for me Chess is a great game, Mr.Tarrasch forgot to mention that Chess also has the power to make you very angry, especially when you lose. However not considered by many, it is, I think, the greatest sport ever. Many thanks to all the greatest in the history of Chess who showed us how to play this game and inspired us. I am a real person, I do not use an engine like most of you out there, not some time, not half of the time, not partially, not ever! I really don't understand people using engines when they play against other people. The worst is to say "I only use it to see what is best in a given position, it's not like using it all the time..." well you see that is the wisdom of a fool, sorry to disappoint you but that's actually using it. Helping yourself with computers during real time play is cheating and if you cheat here you most probably do the same in your own life. Perhaps when I play I don’t always do the best possible move, I even most of the time do the wrong one, but at least it is "MY" move, my best original move and not the move of someone else. You can cheat some people some time, but not all the people all the time and even then you are only fooling yourself and you are not learning, but if you had that idea in the first place, you must be an empty soul looking for a fake profile, but who am I to tell You what to do and don't. As much as parents who are pushing their kids in chess competition don't want to admit it or keep it taboo, chess is also about deception, but that's also a topic in itself. Was I able to keep you reading... After all that blah, blah, blah, blah that no body cares about? ............................................................................................................................................. Oh, and about me, well I don't know if I'm a pawn pusher or a chess student nowadays, but I remember playing simultaneous games with pretty good results at a younger age. I also created a chess club in school that is still there today, organized tournaments, managed the club and became the champion, then I stopped playing for many years and other reasons but this is history and tomorrow is a mystery...zZz...Zzz... I am back in Chess competition, only this time, I unfortunately don't have the same clarity and positional visualization like I used to dream about chess positions, but I still can kick your ass like Street Fighter...Ahryuken! Now this being said, I hope to be as relevant as one can be, and give as much challenge as I can, as a warrior with style. Be free, be You, be true and take care of yourself, don't listen to your ego, love as much as You can and be creative because life is short. As always and in the Chess spirit, have a nice game! ____________________________________________________________________________________________Shadow_47 _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ "In chess, as in life, a man is his own most dangerous opponent." ~Vasily Smyslov .............................................................................................................................................
