Hey everyone! My name is Nick Lewis. I'm the founder and president of the Manasota Chess Center, serve on the board of the Florida Chess Association, and am the co-chair of the US Chess Clubs Committee.

I've been coaching beginner and intermediate players since 2021, and my current USCF rating is about 1750. I teach an Intro to Chess class and a Beyond the Basics group class, and I have several private students, both in-person and online.

One advantage I have as a coach is that I started as an adult and don't take for granted how difficult it can be to learn concepts. When I started chess, I was only rated 600. Over the past ten years, I've steadily grown my rating, and I believe I can help you achieve your goals too!
