Hello, I am HolographWars and live near Washington, DC. I love to play over the board chess. I quit playing online because I realized that it was hurting my tournament games, and bullet chess will not increase it. I instead do tactics trainer every day for 15-30 minutes for two weeks before the tournament. I am hoping to reach 2000 by the end of this year, but that now seems near-impossible, and will content myself with 1900. Luckily, there are quite a lot of OTB tournaments around this area.
I had a lot of username hopping in the past. I first started out as DramaticDollar on chesskid.com five years ago. I soon realized it put me as an adult. So I made another account called PuzzledAtom. I didn't like it that much. So off I went to Chess.com, making DramaticDollar once more. One day I closed my account on rage quit, and I still don't regret it, all those ratings were trash. I needed to figure out what my next username is. My friend at school(WillBillChill, formerly Will2DOllarsBill) had a paper war company called HolographWars. Mine was DeepAttack. However, DeepAttack was already in use. So I did HolographWars, stealing from my friend, and here I am today.
I like to play trombone competitively and am interested in meteorology and aviation. I like to listen to this song The Happy Troll https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y8_Ml2hR5ok and The Party Troll https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-heEaHdKB-4 when I am doing Tactics Trainer.
I was only recently introduced to the wonderful world of bulldog, capture the flag, and infinite chess. I am the writer of The Bulldog Manifesto. I have just scored my first win in the Big-Dog tournament. A Capture the Flag tournament is about to start, anyone can join. They are really fun variants, and if I get board of one, I switch to another!
By now, you probably know what my name is-state, rating, based on those two age, and the only thing I don't feel comfortable giving is my name, so with a little hunting, you should be able to find it!
Oh, and if you feel like you are not improving at all, take this:
"Are you okay? Don't worry pal. You had a good streak. Enjoy your retirement!"
