Was taught the game by my father at a young age but didn't really take to it until I was in college, when I happened upon the best little chess club the world has ever known. Got fairly serious about USCF OTB tournament chess shortly after college (even directed a few tournaments) and my rating peaked round 2011 before falling back into the "A" class. Favorite opening as white is the Bird and, as black, would be the Sicilian Dragon or Albin Counter Gambit. I play a much better game over the slower, online time controls (as opposed to bullet and blitz), something my ratings make abundantly clear.
