To obtain a verified titled player account on Chess.com, you will need to show proof of your identity. To do so, you MUST attach the following:
- A picture of yourself holding up a piece of paper with today's date and "Chess.com" written on it.
- A digital image of government issued identification
- A copy of your FIDE or National Master title certificate, as applicable
- Please put these images together in a .zip file and attach
Please fill out the required fields in the form below and attach the items listed above. Please include a link to your FIDE profile or to your national federation profile, as applicable. A minimum FIDE rating of 2000 or National Rating of 2200 may be required for approval.
Please include any other relevant information such as the account's intended use (public or anonymous), links to your social media profiles, and further supporting information (articles, photographs from tournaments).
After a thorough review of your submission, your title and lifetime Diamond Membership will be automatically added.
Please ensure that the email address associated with your account is up-to-date before submission! The Titled Player Support Team will respond via email if they require any further information and to confirm verification of your titled player account. You can check the email address associated with your account here: www.chess.com/settings
NOTE: To ensure fairness and transparency, your real name will be used on your Chess.com profile if you are requesting a public titled player account (e.g. for use in official and prize money events). But If you wish to play anonymously, you have to make this clear in the comments section of the form below, by saying for example: "This will be my anonymous account"
