Conquistador
I am a musician. I play the piano, the french horn, and the mellophone. If I had to choose, the piano is still my favorite. My favorite composer is Beethoven, but I enjoy most piano music except for the Baroque Period style. Don't get me started on Bach... ~~~ I am a huge football fan, but I still have a place in my heart for basketball. I am a fan of the: Florida Gators Michigan State Spartans Detroit Pistons Detroit Lions (unfortunately) ~~~ I love Scifi. Here is a list of my favorites. Star Trek (Original Series, Enterprise) Dr. Who Stargate Sg1 Threshold X-Files ~~~ I picked up chess at the age of 7 when my grandfather gave me my first chess set on my birthday. My mother taught me the moves of the pieces and I taught myself the rest. My first tournament was a school tournament in 2001 which was a knockout format. I won all four games in the tournament and won the title. I entered the tournament scene in 2004 by sweeping all four games in an unrated tournament that offered a membership to uscf and a lesson with expert Aaron Khan to the winners. In 2008, I won a state title for D class by sweeping all five games. In April 2010, I won the Vandeburg Cup 3.5/4 which was my final tournament in Michigan and my last over the board tournament. ~~~ I am a former Michigander who grew up in Grand Ledge which is right by East Lansing and Michigan State (Go Sparty!). My family moved in '98 to the small town of Clarkston which is right by Pontiac and Waterford. The town is very small with a population of 900 and only .5 sq. mi in size. So I guess you can say I am a city boy and a small town guy in a way. Currently, I am a student at the University of Central Florida majoring in Prelaw and minoring in music.
