Since I came back for tournaments in March 2015 for USCF tournaments, I gained some rating to get back to around USCF 2100 by playing several really fine games and tournaments against players rated sub-2000 and masters as well. How...Read more »

My chess in 2011
Hi, My name is Tian. I am an undergraduate student studies biology in University of Illinois. I like travel, music and chess. I started to play in tournaments since November 2010 (during high school). My FIDE peak rating is 2000+.
After 3 years of inconsistent period of effort put in the game, I reached expert rating (USCF 2000) in 2013. Afterwards, I have literally no time for my own chess study and can only catch some weekend or holiday time to work on some tactic and study some masters games. Thus, my knowledge in the game never stops at the same level but it is insufficient to improve my rating to my original target (USCF 2200-2300). Now I keep several students and gives lessons only at weekend, and might have went back for tournaments once I finish all of my graduate study application and process. My goal of NM and FM is still there, but it's just gonna be arrived later than my original target and take some extra time as well as effort.
If you are looking for online chess lessons with an experienced coach at reasonable rate, please leave me a message here and I'll be glad to answer all of your questions regarding on the lessons I offer.
Some of my recent 3 years USCF/FIDE regular rated tournament best performance record:
2012 US Open, 2nd place in Class B (WA)
2012 Midwest Class Championships, 1st place in Class B (IL)
2013 Bill Wright St. Louis Open, 2nd place in U2100 group of open section (MO)
2013 Chicago Open, 2nd place in U1900 section (IL)
2015 Mid-America Open, 3rd place in U2100 section (MO)
2015 Arpad Open, 1st place in Open section (WI)
