I was born in Roumania in a little town near Bucharest a few years after mid-20th century. When I was young, I was very impressed of the chess games of the world's champion Alexandr Alexandrovici Alehin. The record set to play blindly ( "a la veugle") in his time (1933, Chicago, opponents:32 ;+19=9-4) it has astonished me. I liked to play chess, and more than 35 years ago I have practiced the game, practically and by mail. Then a long period of time I did not play at all. I consider that the chess game must be a matter of study in schools from an early age.
