I've been playing Chess for a while obsessively. Trying to improve my understanding of the game; pattern recognition, visualisation, forward-planning etc.
I love complexity, especially when there's the potential to be original or artful with a complex medium, so I'm kinda hoping I might improve enough to feel I've achieved something, even if it's nothing special.
Always eager to learn, love to play (regardless of the outcome!) Hoping to cut down on the blunders... goodness knows I've made some real howlers lately. BUT... every game is a lesson, and I *love* to learn.
I also paint and write music, so I guess Chess attracts me because I hope I can find ways to be at least a little bit creative over the board.
