PRESS RELEASE: and Chess NYC are very excited to offer an exciting chess event with Grandmaster Magnus Carlsen in New York City: A premier Chess Fantasy Camp.

Campers will join Magnus for a fascinating evening filled with lecture, historic game analysis and play. Magnus will share his thoughts and strategies with everyone, and will simultaneously play against 10 randomly selected campers.

The evening will end with a cocktail hour, in which campers will be able to mingle with Magnus and other world-class Grandmasters.

This is an amazing opportunity to learn from the “Mozart of Chess” himself and to get a glimpse of the passion, discipline, endurance and sheer genius that defines a top Grandmaster.

This event will take place in New York City on Thursday, August 23, 2012.

    As long as he can stay #1 till then, which is not at all certain given his out-of-form play so far in the Tal Memorial.  Aronian may as well overtake him by then, making this a false commercial, or necessitating the addition of one word: "former #1" Wink
