Magnus Carlsen (pictured) sealed victory in the 2011 Biel Grandmaster Tournament with a round to spare.

Carlsen was held to a draw by Lachier-Lagrave, but his nearest rival in the standings, Alexander Morozevich, lost to Fabiano Caruana.

Alexei Shirov and Yannick Pelletier played a relatively quiet draw.

The final round tomorrow starts 3 hours earlier at 11:00 local time (9:00 UTC, 05:00 Eastern).
