Hey everyone! My name is IM Mackenzie Molner, one of University’s new instructors!

My first seminar will be:
Chess 311 – Complete Najdorf Repertoire for Black - 6. Be2.

Level: Chess 311 is geared towards players with a strength of 1500 – 1800.

When: Scheduled On Saturday June 2nd, 2012 at 12:00 PM Pacific Time.

Format: The total seminar duration will be 2 hours and 15 minutes, with two 1- hour sessions that are separated by a 15-minute break.

Course Description: The Najdorf was a personal favorite of many World Champions, including Fischer and Kasparov. An opening as rich and deep as the Najdorf will take many classes to cover in-depth, so Chess 311 will only focus on one of White's main weapons – the very popular 6.Be2 variation. The course will cover the opening theory and ideas of today's Mainline 6.Be2 Najdorf and include my own analysis, recommendations, and suggested improvements on current theory. Additionally, I will review games played by elite players and stress critical ideas and principles, providing test positions for students.

Prerequisites: There are no prereqs for this course.

Tuition: $32/person

Registration: Minimum # of students for the scheduled seminar to become official: 14 by May 28th, 2012. The maximum # of students for this seminar is 26.
