An exciting series of matches has ended with Lev Aronian and Alexander Grischuk joining Peter Leko and Boris Gelfand as qualifiers for the World Chess Championship tournament being held in Mexico in September.

Aronian kept Shirov at bay in their final game to ensure his passage to Mexico.  Grischuk and Rublevsky drew their final game to leave their match all square, but Grischuk won the 1st and 3rd of their rapid playoff games to seal his place.

Games below.  Lets hope that the games in Mexico are as exciting as the games have been here in Elista!
