Vladimir Kramnik has taken an early lead at the Unive tournament in Hoogeveens, winning his first two games in fine style.

Taking full advantage of the white pieces in both games, Kramnik beat Anish Giri and Judit Polgar, and is the only player to have won a game so far in this 4-player double round robin.
