With the finishing line fast approaching in Linares, Alexander Grischuk suffered his first loss today, but still leads the tournament on 7/12.  His nemesis was Magnus Carlsen (pictured) in a complex Sicilian Scheveningen where Grischuk got into time trouble and missed Magnus' spectacular move 33.Ba6!! which ensured that white's advanced pawns were unstoppable.

With only 2 rounds to go, Vassily Ivanchuk and Magnus Carlsen are in joint second place on 6.5/12, just half a point behind Grischuk.  The other games were drawn, the last to finish being the clash between cellar-dwellers Radjabov and Dominguez which went down to bare kings.
