National Chess Day on Saturday!
Please join the Sacramento Pawns online club to celebrate National Chess Day on Saturday, October 10. We will host three tournaments.
1. The Kids & Amateurs starts at 1:30 PM for those under 1400 in Chess.com rapid rating. The time control is G/10 + 3 second increment.
2. Everyone should participate in the main afternoon event: the Pawn Storm beginning at 3:00 PM. This weekly tournament has been our mainstay during the pandemic. Call your friends and invite them to play chess! The time control is also G/10 + 3 second increment.
3. After dinner, log in and join the National Chess Day Blitz kicking off at 8:00 PM. This will be a 90 minute long arena, which means games are paired as soon as a new opponent becomes available. The blitz time control is G/3 + 2 second increment.
