Every month, a new group of bots appear on Chess.com. This August, set sail on an epic chess adventure inspired by the legends of ancient Greece! Navigate dangerous seas filled with monsters, magic, and heroes from Greek mythology. Enter the Cyclops’ cave, follow the Siren’s song, survive Circe’s spells, brave Poseidon’s waves, and test your strategy against the legendary Odysseus.

Cyclops
Playing strength: 250
The Cyclops may call you a puny human, but he’s a gentle giant…most of the time. Try not to make him mad, or you might end up as his next snack.
Siren
Playing strength: 550
The Siren’s song is impossible to ignore, but her chess traps are even harder to escape. Lose yourself in her melody, and you may lose the game too.
Poseidon
Playing strength: 875
Lord of the Sea, Poseidon commands the board with confidence and expects his opponents to admire his greatness. Try not to get swept away by his powerful attacks.
Circe
Playing strength: 1250
Circe is ready for a battle of wits with some magic. Just remember: losing a chess game is much better than being turned into a pig.
Odysseus
Playing strength: 1775
Odysseus is a legendary hero known for his clever thinking and impossible escapes. Outsmarting him will take a plan worthy of a legend.
