Shymkent Nomads Seek Experience For Kazakh Talents
The Shymkent Nomads are the only PRO Chess League team from Kazakhstan. They are comprised of many local players who are eager to compete against some of the best in the world.
Zhuban Bigablov is the team manager and one of the highest rated team members. He won the World Amateur Championship in 2016 in the U2300 FIDE section.
FM Ilyas Sodikov is the highest rated player on the team. He is looking to sharpen his skills against grandmasters and international masters from all over the world.
Abdikhadir Yakhiyayev is rated above 2000 FIDE and is also an official FIDE arbiter.
Kristina Kim is just sixteen years old and already qualified for the semifinal of the 2016 Kazakhstan Women's Championship
Also filling out the Nomads roster is CM A. Kolostovsky, Damir Utemisov, Abilmansur Abdilkhair and Rakhimjan Nakyp.
One couldn't be a nomad in a more beautiful country than Kazakhstan.
Shymkent is outrated by most of the teams in the league, but the PRO Chess League is not only about high ratings and top grandmasters. The league is also a chance for players from cities all over the world to compete on the biggest online chess stage, and we are happy to have teams from five continents and twenty countries competing in 2017.
