The 2012 championship runs from 11 November - 2 December, with each round consisting of 2-game matches (4 in the final) between the players drawn against one another. Tied matches are decided by 2 rapid tie-break games of 25 minutes plus 10 seconds increment, then 2 blitz games if necessary at 5 minutes plus 3 seconds increment, then finally an Armageddon game.
