Hi everyone! My name is Sean, and I'm a chess coach in the Denver area with both in person and online lessons! I'm also a junior at the University of Colorado Boulder studying applied math and looking to go into data science when I graduate.

I specifically enjoy teaching tactics and attacking themes, although I'm happy to teach positional chess concepts, openings, and endgames as well! I enjoy lessons where we can play and talk through our moves and thoughts during the game, I believe it helps accelerate student improvement! Some of my notable chess accomplishments include:

- 2500 Blitz, Rapid, and Bullet ratings online in under 5 years after beginning my chess journey as a 400 rated rapid player

- 2024 Colorado Open U1900 Co-Champion(4/5)

- 2025 Denver Open U2000 Sole Champion (5/5, 2300 performance rating)

- ~ 2060 USCF rating which I expect to continue rising as I play in more over the board tournaments!

- 400+ hours of online tutoring over the last two years through various platforms
