El "Inge" amaba con pasión el ajedrez por ello fundó en 1945 el Club México.
Fue tambien el fundador de la Escuela Nacional de Ajedrez (ESNAJ).

Ok, FM Alfonso Ferriz Carrasquedo was known in all of México and will be remembered because of the great things he did: He founded a Club that still persists, he also founded the Mexican Chess School (Escuela Mexicana de Ajedrez=ESNAJ). So we would like to honor him with a tournament in Chess. com. He's been honored before on OTB tournaments, but we believe that this is the first time he is honored with an Online tournament.
