Introduction

Hello! 

My name is David (Ying) Li, I am a 13-year-old chess player living in the United States. I had been playing casual chess for a while but took it more seriously when I made this account in October 2021. I hope to be an NM in 10th or 11th grade. I like to play a lot of OTB Chess because I play worse online for some reason. For White, I prefer to play the Ruy Lopez and for Black, I prefer to play the Sicilian Defense, but I Have been studying the Scandinavian opening.

I am currently just playing online chess for now, but in 9th grade, I will go to OTB tournaments and earn a USCF rating hopefully, Although it will be hard because I need to keep up with AP studies.

Coaching

I have been studying chess as much as I can, and my goal is to start coaching in the summer of 2022, which was my original goal.

Unfortunately, I do not have enough skills to start coaching yet, so maybe summer of 2023?
