Waltham Chess Club - ZOOM Grand Prix

Welcome to the ZOOM Grand Prix!  As of 05-14-2026, this page is UNDER CONSTRUCTION.

Starting with Grand Prix Cycle #3, this group is the home of the Grand Prix Cycle Championships.  Players who commit to joining ZOOM or using Proctor, and who have won the highest accumulated scores in the Grand Prix series of tournaments hosted by the group Waltham Chess Club - USCF-Rated, will be invited to participate in the Grand Prix Cash-Prize event that will determine the Cycle Champion.

Membership in this Club and participation in its USCF-Rated tournaments requires a current Membership with USCF (https://secure2.uschess.org/webstore/member.ph).  In addition, players must register one time with chess.com by filling out this USCF Authentication Form ( https://www.chess.com/news/view/uscf-member-authentication-9266) and join the US Chess Members Only Club to be eligible to play in this Club.

Because the ZOOM Grand Prix is also a Cash-Prize event, players who plan to participate in it are asked to install Proctor (http://chess.com/proctor).  This will be used to monitor players' computers and play areas in a manner more rigorous than ZOOM.  See this Forum: https://www.chess.com/clubs/forum/view/welcome-2853. The group Waltham Chess Club - USCF-Rated will continue to run Grand Prix Tournaments among its schedule of USCF-Rated Tournaments.  These Grand Prix Tournaments do not require ZOOM (but Proctor remains recommended).
