A new rating system is a bad idea, there's nothing wrong with this one, when you just register, you can choose what your starting rating is to match your level and you lose/gain hundreds of points at a time in your first few games.

yeah but it just stops caring after 5 games

usually it can get a good read on ur rating after 5 games
