Hi! 

I'm Sanjay Thakurel, an Arena International Master and a Coach with a teaching experience spanning since 1995. I attained my peak rating of 2107 from the World Chess Federation (FIDE). My unwavering dedication and profound passion for chess have motivated me to instruct numerous students over the last 28 years. Under my guidance, many children and teenagers have not only clinched trophies but have also ascended to become international chess players while still in their school years.

One of my most notable coaching achievements is guiding a beginner student to achieve a FIDE rating exceeding 1400 within just one year. I have further enriched my teaching expertise through five years at Ecole Mondiale International School and another five years at Arya Vidya Mandir. Additionally, I have ventured into online chess training, teaching privately and also contributing to the learning platform called Unacademy as part of their panel.
