Hello! My name is Zachary Dukic. I'm a FIDE Master with one IM norm currently residing in Ottawa, Ontario and I love playing chess!

I'm 26 years old and have recently graduated from the Faculty of Education at the University of Ottawa. I have a passion for languages, namely French and Italian which I also teach privately alongside chess. I have a peak CFC (Canadian) rating of 2423 and a peak live FIDE rating of 2300.2! I enjoy playing theoretical, tactical and attacking chess! My best and most memorable win to date is against the legendary GM Boris Avrukh from round 1 of the 2019 Chicago Open.

I have taught players of all levels, ranging from complete beginner to master level (2200+ CFC). I use chess.com's live analysis board as well as Skype/Whatsapp/Facebook/WeChat to communicate. I have been teaching for about seven years now both privately as well as in classrooms. I know what it means to cater a lesson to a student, and if you decide to work with me I will see to it that you extract the maximum from each session!
