Hey! I have solved the puzzle too!
Hey! There is mate!
nice and cute
This is a drawn position, cheetahch & not a win for White - the moves should be ...
is it really sunday?
I bet that Queen was surprised. That is really thinking ahead for me. Personally, I am lucky to be one move ahead, let alone something like this. Something for me to aspire to.
A challenging puzzle on a Sunday? No Queens to sacrifice? I must be in an alternate reality.
No mate this time...good puzzle.
game is a legal draw ...k.h5,k.h8, a check forces a draw at g8
Dear Lord, it was black to move!!!
Wow. This is so easy that its ridiculous.
Don't you mean the game posted by cheetahch in post #90 ? If so, ...Kh8 is one of the mistakes people make - it has to be g8. After 1...Kh8 ..
1. Kh5 Kh8 2. Kh6 Kg8 3. g7 Kf7 4. Kh7 Kf6 5. g8=Q
And a drawn position is turned into a win for White !!
