The King's Indian Attack is one of White's most attractive positional debuts. Basically the King's Indian Attack is founded on the thought that if the King's Indian is sound for Black, it must be 'extra sound' when White plays it a tempo ahead. Many world class Grandmasters have essayed the King's Indian Attack, including Pretrosian, Ljubojevic, Fischer, Smyslov, Botvinnik, and Reshevsky to name just a few.
