Hey, Scott Adkins here. I started playing chess about 3 years ago, with the online chess boom, I few of my friends started playing and wanted me to try it, next thing you know I’m 2300 and my friends and family think I’m speaking a foreign language when I try to talk chess to them. Considering I started playing chess at a later age, I’m very proud of my progress, but I will work to keep climbing the ranks! My goals in 2026 are to reach 2300 rapid and blitz by next year and win an OTB tournament for the first time.

Edit: I have hit 2300 rapid on January 25th, 2026, a crazy month of growth for me that I’m very proud of. I’m also now a 2200 blitz rated player as well. Now, to get a FIDE and a USCF rating!!!
