The Chess Warlords

I would like to start by presenting my own club, The Chess Warlords. I created the club in the Summer of 2023, and suddenly it started growing very fast. My goal with this club was to create a community full of strong chess players, and make it competitive. Guess what? In October we had a match against ᛒᛊᚱᛇᛊᚱᛕᛊᚱᛇ on 131 boards. Currently we are participating in the seconnd highest division of ONE World League, and participating it the Knockout Chess Leagues. If you are a strong chess player, looking for a club, where you can participate in various events on the top level, I invite you to join my club.

About Me

I’m Nagy Dávid-Ervin, a 17-year-old competitive chess player from Romania with a strong passion for high-level, technical chess. I started playing at the age of four, and over the years I’ve developed into a positional player who enjoys slow, “boring” positions where precision, patience, and endgame technique decide the game.

Over the past year, I’ve made significant competitive progress, gaining 90 Elo in a single tournament and 260 Elo across two events, with consistently strong performances. Recently, I’ve defeated a WIM and drawn an IM, confirming my ability to compete with titled players.

My main openings are the Catalan with White and the Najdorf Sicilian and Nimzo-Indian with Black. I train 10+ hours per week, combining tournament play with structured study, and I’m currently focused on improving time management, discipline, and awareness of my opponents’ resources.

Alongside my competitive career, I also coach young players and am always willing to help others by sharing training resources, advice, and experience. My short-term goal is to reach CM level, and I’m fully committed to long-term improvement through serious work and strong competition.
