About
Chess Club is open to all Club members students, regardless of skill level. Whether you are a skilled player who wants to sharpen your skills and test them at competitions, or you just enjoy playing the game and don’t wish to compete, or you’re a beginner who wants to learn how to play the game, we welcome you.
Benefits
Playing chess helps to develop many mental skills that are useful in life, such as: logic, strategic and tactical thinking, planning and preparation, and problem-solving. Chess Club provides an opportunity to simply have fun playing the game and making friendships, while building these skills at the same.
Our teaching and tournament activities are primarily in public and private schools in Davao City. Our goal is to provide a national forum for discussing chess teaching techniques and to enhance development of chess from grass roots level.
Metro Davao Youth Chess Club Inc. is an invitation ONLY group or you can apply for acceptance through the normal channels

- You must be a Regular Member of the MDYCC
- Have played a minimum of 10 on-line daily games!
- Your timeout percentile is between 0 and 10%!
- Cheaters are not welcome to this group
