⚔️ MINDSET - I strongly believe that success and happiness come as a result of one’s choices and habits. What you do and what you think define your reality. As a result, progress comes from being persistent in one’s studies and genuinely looking to improve. The key to consistent progress is a growth mindset (as opposed to a fixed mindset).

This means genuine appreciation for what one has been given and has achieved so far. It means the belief that it is possible to learn and to improve further. It means enjoying the process and genuinely wanting to put in the hours rather than viewing it as a chore. It means focusing on the system rather than the results (also often referred to as input rather than output). Results are bound to come from a good system!

📈 COACHING - I enjoy coaching players of all levels - as long as they are serious about improving. As a coach, I place a large emphasis on:

Helping you identify your current strengths and areas of improvement
Recommending relevant literature and providing exercises to progress in these areas
Improve thinking and training habits on and off the board
Being well-prepared for each lesson
Constantly looking to improve the quality of the lessons
Tailor the experience to each student to maximize their progress
Communicating clearly and neatly organizing key points and resources
Providing a high level of support and encouraging the student

With this in mind, I offer personalized 1-on-1 coaching. I consistently go overtime and I am always reachable between the lessons, as I truly want to help my students, taking time out of my day to do so.

If I do not genuinely believe I will help you reach your goals, then I will let you know, as I respect the time and effort of both parties.

I specialize in the 1000-2000 FIDE rating group, although I also have experience helping people below this level. I have years of aching experience and have helped dozens of players take the next step and gain hundreds of rating points, some in the span of only weeks or months.

I started out as a beginner myself with a rating around 750 at the age of 16 and gained over 1500 rating points in the first 5 years of playing online - at a steady 1 rating gain a day on average. This puts me in a unique position of understanding what is needed to progress at every level below my own!

✅ LESSONS - Coaching lessons have a duration of 60 to 90 minutes, making sure there is no stress in finishing up the material, and answering whatever questions the student might have.

Lessons can be booked either 1 or 10 lessons at a time at 60$ and 500$ respectively via Calendly, which accounts for timezones: https://calendly.com/bennerchess.

This price tag includes:
1. The lesson itself
2. The preparation between each lesson
3. Handpicked material for the lesson
4. Homework & training games between lessons when relevant
5. Repertoire recommendations
6. A very high support level (I usually respond within an hour or less to any inquiries on Discord).
