I played OTB from 1978 to 1983 for Cardiff B and C. I started again in the 1990s and played for Cardiff University and North Cardiff. In 2012 I started playing OTB for North Cardiff after a gap of more than 15 years It is really good to play again!! I used to play in playchess.com as there was a link from Fritz software. However, they do not like people to play for free. I am now retired, so I am not able to pay. I play because it is a beautiful game. my favourite players are a complete mixture. Capablanca, Botvinnik, Fisher and Kasparov, with a hint of Tal and Bronstein. I like this site, but do not agree with running down the clock when the position is completely lost on material but the other player has less time. This is not chess in my book, it is chess OTB, but on the web you may just have a quicker machine/connection
