Sadly the actor Ben Cross passed away yesterday in Vienna, Austria after a short illness. With over 100 screen credits he had always been busy as a member of the RSC, and is possibly best remembered for his leading role in Chariots of Fire -1981, as well as First Knight 1995 and most recently Star Trek 2009. Born and raised in Streatham, London he had lived in many places around the world, but particularly London, New York, southern Spain, Vienna and Sofia in Bulgaria. As well as acting, he was also a talented director and musician, this last talent having passed to his children. We believe a match should be held in his honour and hope you will accept
