Welcome to Montreal Chess Players, an OTB meetup group for avid chess players in the Montreal area. Montreal used to have a thriving chess community, but lately it's been very difficult to connect in person with other chess players. We hope that this Meetup group will change this.

The goal is to have several meetups per week in different areas of Montreal, and eventually host rated and unrated tournaments.
A CFC, Chess.com, or Lichess.org rating of at least 1000 is recommended, but everyone is welcome to join.
