I am Gabor Horvath, a professional chess coach from Hungary with 10+ years coaching experience.

I have coached more than 100 students from all over the world, both children and adults, from beginners to 2100+ players.

Unlike most titled players, I consider coaching my profession. I am not a chess player who does some coaching on the side – I am a chess coach who plays some chess on the side. I continuously improve my teaching materials and experiment with new training methods.

I have been using the tried and true methods of the Russian chess school, with good results. (In fact, most of my students have been working with me for years.)
