The start date is the 10th anniversary of the debut of Game of Thrones on our screens, which went on to capture millions into the twists and turns of the story originally written by George R R Martin and achieved critical acclaim too, with a massive ensemble cast combining vast experience with developing young talent, many of whose careers have blossomed to become current stars. Peter Dinklage was seen as the series star and won two Screen Actors Guild awards and a Golden Globe, and the series won a total of 59 Primetime Emmys over its eight seasons. As the popularity grew so did the investment and filming took place in Croatia, Morocco, Northern Ireland, Malta, Iceland, Spain, Scotland and Los Angeles.
