On the start date it would have been the 100th birthday of Montgomery Clift, but he died tragically young in 1966 at the age of 45. Despite that, from only 18 screen credits he has been recognised as a phenomenally gifted actor, holding his own in his first appearance opposite John Wayne in Red River 1948, and gaining four Oscar nominations for The Search 1948, A Place in the Sun 1951, From Here to Eternity 1953 and Judgement in Nuremberg 1961. Born in Omaha, Nebraska he lived most of his life and died in New York City at his apartment on East 61st Street, Manhattan. We believe a match should be held in his honour and hope you will accept.
