ChessireKot

Pls don't prep, I don't study openings enough as it is! If you're here to prep, at least read this so I get to waste a little bit of your time happy.png. Love chess (obviously), favorite players to watch are Andrew Tang, Abdusattorov, Dubov, Pragg, Rapport, and Firouzja.

New chess goals for 2024 (tried to focus more on study plan than rating bc i plateaued for so long in 2023 sad.pngsad.png):

- Guess the move 12 master games per week
- Significantly improve at blindfold chess (1800+ blindfold lichess rating, comfortable seeing lines & board in head via consistent training on app (10 minutes on bus daily) - context: my visualization seems to be way worse than a lot of players my rating naturally, as unfortunate as that is
- Know 1. e4 e5 openings until move 10 + plans in >=2/3 otb games
- Feel comfortable playing Nimzo Indian
- Dedicate >=10 minutes studying openings every morning on bus, >=15 minutes tactics
- Rating goal (rough hope, alright if I don't reach because could be a stretch as I learned the hard way in 2023) -> 1950 USCF by end of year, 2400 chess.com blitz
- Stop feeling nervous when playing higher rated players (expert and above), get some results on the board vs top juniors in my state and/or titled player
- Get better at bughouse

Will occasionally check in with these goals and see how I progress (prob around every month). May also add to them as necessary.

Now for some about me:

Favorite music: Pink Sweat$, Boywithuke (got into his top 0.1 percent spotify listeners this year yay), Juice WRLD (esp. freestyles & Doomsday, so a lot of the rap stuff), Cordae, Shawn Mendes (lol, if you couldn't tell my music taste is actually just all over the place)

Favorite teas if anyone cares: Cinnamon Spice, Sencha green, any brand Masala Chai (also like iced teas)

Recently joined the coffee addiction team because of my horrible sleep schedule lol

Last tourney's USCF results:

Check my blog (but might not always be up to date lol)

If you actually wanna know my last results because I'm horrible at updating my blog, it took me a while but I finally crossed 1800 USCF a couple events ago! Lots of ups and downs along the way but happy I'm here, hopefully can keep up the momentum in my next events!
