I am a pretty crap chess player. Luckily for me, most people on the Earth are even crappier. I often play stupid moves. I think that they're pretty damn clever and sound when I play them, but after the game Rybs will tell me that I'm a tardo, and demonstrate why in a trivial fashion. This can be frustrating, but once I've reminded the computer that it's a nerdy machine, whereas I get to drink alcohol and have sex, I usually feel better.

Outside of chess I'm keen on most sports. Especially football. The Wellington Phoenix and Ipswich Town FC in particular. Go the tractor boys! To the Premiership and then Europe hopefully. Stop laughing!

Everyone likes music and movies, and so do I. My partner helps make movies and often gets to be friends with famous people. From time to time I get to rub up against them at the bar at wrap parties. Until I'm escorted from the premises. I'll discuss music and movies with anyone. We can swap our favourite YouTube links, and use up all our bandwith in a single evening.

I have two young children. They are brilliant. I've kept them away from chess so far. The eldest is only four, so it wasn't that tough. I don't want to expose them to that sort of carry on too young. They at least need a chance to be as awesome and cool as their mother, before chess turns them into the shell of a human that their father has become. Albeit an awesome and cool shell.

My FIDE rating is higher than 10 really. It's not that flash though. The way I see it, if you really care then you can look it up yourself. And check out that goober pic they have of me on there while you're at it! I've joined this site as a result of the Facebook merger thing. I've been on chess sites before, and found that I'd get annoyed by people who weren't friendly and chatty, or who claimed a win on time at the first oppo. Chill out dudes, we're not playing for cash.

Anyway, if you fancy a game and a yarn about shite, that's pretty much my thing. Though that's not to say I want you to initiate a conversation about your bowel movements. Ewwwwww!!
