ahh the hippo defense.

i use it in very short games (1-3 minutes), and i make my moves fast. not intending really to attack but to beat my opponent on time!!

I have played a similar line with 1. f4 against these modern defenses.  The problem was that Black had no clue how to handle that thing.  He shouldn't have played it unless he knew it pretty well.  a6 and h6 are good prophylactic moves, but he should have worked on castling and counterstriking the center. Oh well...nice tactics by your part.
