Hi I'm new to chess and have only been to one chess tournament here. I somehow gained 1004 points. Can anyone help tell me how this rating system works? Thanks
They play mostly rated games but occasionally some unrated blitz. Just go to the website and it'll show you what's planned.
is it a rated game?
Didn't get to go but the writeup in the Statesman made the simul sound very successful!
The SXSW Film Festival will host the World Premiere of Brooklyn Castle.
There will also be 3 other screenings, and some chess exhibitions, including a 15 player simul with Justus Williams.
I'm from Austin, and plan to watch the premiere. It would be great to show this awesome film and the filmakers some great chess.com support and some great Austin, Texas hospitality.
You're welcome and if you're in Austin on a Sunday evening, stop in, say hi, and play a game!
This is my local Austin Texas chess club. According to their website, they've been in existence since 2006. I added the link here a week or so ago.
There was no link on this website until very recently.
Hey, this is new! Since when?
