i love to play the poisoned pawn against the Winawer, but the problem is that even black has to go for it.
The French with 3.Nc3 can go in the classical with 3...Nf6 or the Rubinstein with 3...dxe4 (that is relatively boring).
In this period I'm playing the KIA just to avoid all these variations of the French.
I just feel like posting two transpositions of the french defense winawer which each have a poison pawn in them. It turns out to have quite dynamic play for each side.
Here they are, try them - they are fun if you play with or against the french.
