The first two you should know for BOTH SIDES are the Ruy Lopez and Queen's Gambit Declined. After that, I'd probably say the next 3 to know would be he Slav, Petroff, and Queen's Gambit Accepted (openings related to the first two).
These are all openings that follow general pricipals and should be played from both sides. Try to understand everything from both sides. Don't make the mistake of "Oh, I should learn the White side of this but the Black side of that."
